Tips For Smoking Cessation
Posted on December 2nd, 2009 1 commentImagine the cigarettes as crutches. You have always had these crutches to lean on and shortly, it becomes most unlikely to walk without them. The most important thing to learn is that as fast as you walk on your feet again, they will quickly regain strength.

It could be an obscure fact, but about 1/2 what a smoker breathes from his gasper is pure air. Next time you are hit with a craving, take some deep breaths and relax. You’ll soon be able to rise above the desire, feel refreshed, and push on.
Why do you need to quit? Have you got children? Do you need to survive to see your grandchildren? Are you bored with the smell? Regardless of your reasons are, put them down.
Keep a daily book of how you’re feeling and in the first entry list in bold letters every reason you’ve got for giving up. List stuff like health reasons, cost, inconvenience, halitosis, or other reasons and make the list so long as possible. Also be certain to list how you’ll feel when you have kicked the habit. After you complete your inventories of reasons you need to give up and how you can feel after you have give up, make a listing of the effects of not giving up. Have other smokers in your circle of relatives gotten cancer? Have they died? Have they got to communicate thru a hole in their neck? Will you lack the ability to pay off debt because you are always buying cigarettes? Whatever you results, be certain to list every one of them. As above, be certain to list the results ( good effects, naturally ) of giving up.
Keep them to anticipate. Most smokers agree : a ciggie is a break. When giving up, give yourself breaks, but do something. Go for walk, eat a chunk of fruit or drink some juice. This is urgent because the body will be going through changes expelling all of the amassed poisons. The fruit will help this process in several ways.
